joined together to collaborate, inspire, learn, and grow together!
Our Founder and Director, Daewen, grew the idea of our online community to create a space where all are welcome, supported, and loved for who they are, and no matter where they are.
No more isolation. No more cliques. No more bullshit.
We get together online, and now in person, to tell our stories and express ourselves through dance--
without restrictions, expectations, or limits.

Direction by Daewen
Daewen (formerly known as Shyama) is our Director and Founder. Daewen performs and teaches throughout the Midwest (and now beyond!) in addition to offering her online studio. She has been training, teaching, and performing since 2012. Her extensive and continual experience in fusion dance includes over a thousand hours of study with her idols like Ariellah, Rachel Brice, Zoe Jakes, Ashley Lopez, Michelle Sorenson, Silvia Salamanca, Belladonna, and her dance bestie and mentor Ami Amoré.
In addition, Daewen is a highly skilled coach, teacher, and administrative professional with years of training in coaching, psychology, and communication. You can count on her to be responsive, considerate, knowledgeable, extremely organized, and passionate about everything she does.
We don't call her Mama Stygian for nothin'.
